| The Great Adirondack Corn Maze Tucker Farms |

| We have a medieval theme for 2007 featuring a castle, dragon and a knight among the layout. Much of the design for the corn maze was worked out by Hanna and Luke Eckert, ages 12 and 10, respectively, and Sheila Delarm, their mother. Both are home-schooled, and this was a project for their schoolwork. The maze was much more complex than the one of 2004, the Tucker brothers got lost in it while setting up the mailboxes to house maps for maze travelers at various way points within the maze. Yet on the other hand, when the Eckerts and their mother navigated it, it took them only 1 1/2 hours to make it through. And they didn't get lost! Activities (one of which is a 'petting zoo' -- mostly chickens and ducks) were available for the younger kids. Tucker Farms, Inc. is a family owned and operated potato farm on the north slope of the Adirondack Mountains twenty miles north of Lake Placid. This relative isolation and high elevation is ideal for growing vigorous, top quality, disease-free seed potatoes. Our entire acreage is entered for certification as foundation and/or certified seed. In our spare time, we also grow strawberries, farm fresh vegetables, grains, and cover crops for local markets |

the East (Plattsburgh, I87 Exit 38): Take Rte 374 to Rte 3 Exit (eight miles).
Rte 3 to Bloomingdale (35 miles). Leave Rte 3 turning right at Norman's Store
onto St. Regis Ave (County Rte 55). Drive four miles to Rte 86. Turn right and
continue about 1 1/2 miles toward Gabriels. Turn left at Hobart Road and Tucker
Farms sign. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the farm, 56 Hobart Road. From the
North (Malone, NY): Take Rte 30 south (approx. 33 miles) to Paul Smith's College.
Turn left onto Rte 86. Drive south through Easy Street and Gabriels. Turn right
at Hobart Road and Tucker Farms sign. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the farm,
56 Hobart Road. From the West (Tupper Lake, NY): Take Routes 3 and 30 east (approx. 20 miles) to wye intersection, stay right on Rte 3, to Saranac Lake village. Turn left on Rte 86 in center of village. Drive northward approx. 7 1/2 miles to Gabriels. Turn left at Hobart Road and Tucker Farms sign. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the farm, 56 Hobart Road. From the South (Lake Placid, NY, I87 Exit 30): From I87 Exit 30, take Rte 73 northward through St. Hubert's, Keene Valley and Keene. After climbing up the long hill through Cascade Pass at the ski jump facility/horse show grounds, stay left on Old Military Road (County Rte 35) for 3.6 miles to avoid Lake Placid village. Turn left at Rte 86 (from Lake Placid village) toward Saranac Lake. Stay on Rte 86 through Saranac Lake and northward approx. 7 1/2 miles to Gabriels. Turn left at Hobart Road and Tucker Farms sign. Drive approximately 1/2 mile to the farm, 56 Hobart Road. |
